However, we are going to have some very strong winds thursday from the west at 2030 mph which will make those 40s seem more like 20s and 30s we are watching friday closely as a quick moving weather system will come into the colder environment and try to get some snow going over iowa friday afternoon evening. Lasting. Thursday is going to be sunny, but very windy and cold with highs in the mid 40s and wind gusts up to 45 mph. Friday there is still a very good chance for snow in the afternoon to early evening. Right now it looks like it will start as a wintry mix and turn into snow fairly quickly into the afternoon. Snow accumulations should be on the lighter side with ground temperatures being as low as they are, but i still think in grassy areas we will see a general collection between 1 and 3 inches with a few isolated areas able to get 4 inches.
