Coral Harbour Base, (RBDF): In keeping with the Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King’s strategic intent of developing a professional and high-performance workforce focused on excellence and succession planning, Leading Seaman Melvin Smith was awarded the Leon L. Smith Award as the Royal Bahamas Defence Force’s overall Marine of the Year for 2020.
Defence Headquarters - In keeping with the Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King’s strategic objective of strengthening relationships with stakeholders and the community at large as a socially corporate citizen, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force presented Christmas gifts to the students of the Adelaide and Gambier Primary Schools on December 18, 2020.
Traditionally the Royal Bahamas Defence Force invites the staff, faculty, and students from both schools to be a part of its Annual Christmas Carol ceremony held at HMBS CORAL HARBOUR. However, due to the current state of the country, plans were revamped, and Commodore Raymond King, along with Chairperson of the RBDF Christmas Carol 2020 committee, Senior Commander Floyd Moxey delivered the presents to the schools.
