Floyd County Schools Superintendent Danny Adkins announced schools in the district will continue to learn virtually through at least the end of January.
Superintendent Adkins comments, “At a special called board of education meeting last night, our board members decided to remain virtual until February 1st. We looked at virtual and hybrid models of instruction we could follow and discussed information from the Floyd County Health Department. As a result of an extremely high positivity rate for Floyd County of over 75%, our board members have chosen to continue virtual instruction and to look at the situation again at our regular board of education meeting on January 25th.”
