Acho Dene Koe First Nation (ADKFN) in Fort Liard, N.W.T., have delayed their election for chief after elections officer, Graeme Drew, recommended they amend the election code or he resigns.

The upcoming election for chief of Acho Dene Koe First Nation has been postponed once again. In an affidavit signed March 28, councillor and sub-chief Brenda Berreault said the First Nation does not have an elections officer.
Floyd Bertrand, former Acho Dene Koe First Nation chief, started court proceedings in November asking the court to uphold the order of the AKDFN's own election appeal committee to hold an election "with all due haste."
