COCONUT GROVE, Fla. – Young Bridger Walker is a hero. He made national headlines after saving his little sister from a vicious dog attack.
The 7-year-old boy was mauled after bravely putting himself between the charging dog and his sister, ending up with more than 90 stitches.
“In July when everything happened it was very hard, the hardest moment of our lives,” said Robert Walker, Bridger’s father. “But as soon as he smiled, we knew we had our happy ending. At that point, we knew that everything would be OK.”

MIAMI – The seven-year-old boy from Wyoming whose training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu might have prepared him to bravely shield his little sister from an attack by a German Shepherd-mix is in Miami this week.
Ralph Navarro, of Florida Yachts International, heard about the brave Bridger Walker from his daughter. His courage was so moving that he decided to extend him and his family an all-expenses-paid invitation.
“At first, I didn’t know what a yacht was, but then my grandpa told me it was a big boat,” Bridger said.
