Three Former Seminoles Look Ahead to NWSL Draft

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Three former Seminole soccer players will find out their futures on Thursday night at the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) draft. The draft will take place at 6 p.m. at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia and can be seen on CBS Sports Network, Paramount+ and CBS Sports HQ. After being honored as a MAC Hermann Trophy finalist just under a week ago, Nighswonger is projected to be a first round pick on Thursday night. Nighswonger had a phenomenal year in 2022 and was named the United Soccer Coaches Scholar Player of the Year. Nighswonger started all 22 games for the Seminoles and tallied 28 points off of six goals and 16 assists. Her 16 assists were the second-most in school history.
