BATON ROUGE, La. (Seminoles.com) – A strong offensive showing by the Michigan Volleyball Team propelled the Wolverines (2-0) to a 3-0 (14-25, 19-25, 16-25) win over Florida State Indoor Volleyball on Saturday morning at the Tiger Classic at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, La.
Due to the threat of Hurricane Ida in Louisiana, Saturday morning’s match was FSU’s last of the tournament as it finished 1-1. The Seminoles (1-1) defeated Northern Arizona, 3-0, on Friday night to begin the season.
“This was a humbling match for our young team,” FSU Head Coach Chris Poole said. “We need these matches for a learning opportunity. We had our moments but were very inconsistent and gave up runs with our passing breaking down. We just need more time on the court training and working through our inexperience.”
