The Florida Senate Fiscal Policy Committee approved a bill that could let homes valued at more than $700,000 be covered by Citizens Property Insurance.
It is unclear what state legislators will do to fix the problem, but it is expected to be an issue for the 2024 legislative session, which starts in January.
