Publix heiress Carol Jenkins Barnett, 65, daughter of the grocery chain s founder George W. Jenkins, died of complications from Alzheimer s disease on Tuesday night.
Publix Super Markets announced the death of Carol Jenkins Barnett, former chair and president of Publix Super Markets Charities, and daughter of the company's founder, George W. Jenkins. She died Dec. 7 in her home surrounded by family. In 2016, she was diagnosed with younger-onset Alzheimer’s disease.
