SURFSIDE, Fla. – Israeli President Reuven Rivlin said on Friday that he was praying for the victims of the tragedy in Miami-Dade County’s town of Surfside.
Rivlin tasked Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid with sending aid to the site of the tragedy at the Champlain Towers South and to the Jewish community.
Meyers Leonard to meet with Jewish community leaders, Miami students after anti-Semitic slur Ryan Young
Meyers Leonard will meet with members of the South Florida Jewish Community and University of Miami students next week, something that is part of the “learning process” after the former Heat center used an anti-Semitic slur on a video game stream last month.
Leonard, according to WPLG’s Will Mando, will conduct the meeting via Zoom.
