Business Update: Find Your Fabulosity donates 65K lipsticks to domestic abuse victims
Sheryl Kurland with lipsticks her foundation donates to abused women.
When Sheryl Kurland of Longwood, Fla., began traveling around the country doing interactive speaking engagements for college women on the topics of healthy relationships and sexuality, she was stunned at the amount of sexual assault these young women confessed to. Through interactive exercises and games, I would also ask these college-age women to list their relationship priorities like communication, trust, and sex, in order of importance. She d end with the message that trust is the foundation of any healthy and safe relationship.

CORAL SPRINGS, FL Florida is a no-fault divorce state, which means no blame is attached to either party when pursuing a divorce.
Although a spouse’s domestic violence will not be grounds for the divorce, you may be able to introduce evidence to the Courts of your spouse’s abusive behavior. Evidence of domestic violence almost always impacts child custody, especially when the conduct is performed in the child’s presence, or even worse, the child is a victim. This evidence may also impact the division of the marital estate, alimony, and settlement negotiations.
25 Women: Amanda Morrison finds magic in Tallahassee s supportive restaurant culture
Heather Fuselier
You better fasten your seatbelt before getting into a conversation with Amanda Morrison; she is going places, and fast.
In fact, she moves so fast that she didn’t even know she had been named one of Tallahassee’s 25 Women You Need to Know until her phone started buzzing with alerts and text messages of congratulations. “I have admired the women on this list for years,” she says with enthusiasm, “so it is really humbling to be added to it.”
Morrison arrived on the Tallahassee scene in 2001 as a first-generation college student. “I was not a good student,” she admits. Already a veteran of the hospitality business, where she had been working since the age of 15, she was driven to work. “I was more likely to work a double than to go to class,” she recalls.
