JACKSONVILLE, Fla Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis unveiled a proposal from Naples Wednesday morning for a $106 million plan to increase civics education in Florida schools, making the state the national leader in civics education.
The funding for the program would come from the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund, which was provided to the state last year through the CARES Act, along with additional federal funding.
