Sanibel-Captiva Republican Caucus to meet

The Sanibel-Captiva Republican Caucus will hold its monthly meeting on Feb. 13 at 10 a.m. at The Community House, at 2173 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel.
The guest speaker is newly-elected state Rep. Adam Botana, R-District 76, who serves part of Lee County. In addition, the six Sanibel City Council candidates will speak about what they they will do if elected to fill one of the three seats in March.
Botana’s father was 13 when he came to the United States from Cuba in 1968. Born and raised in Bonita Springs, he is vice president of the Bay Water Boat Club in Bonita, which his family founded in 2006. An officer in the Bonita Springs Rotary Club, Botana was appointed by former Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Boating Advisory Council.
