The team is led by partner Jean-Guillaume de Tocqueville, who is joined by counsel Matthieu Ollivry and associates Catherine Feunteun, Diane Richebourg and Charles Smith. The team brings with them a variety of individual specialisms related to banking and finance, including litigation, regulation, ESG and fintech.
Allen & Overy hires two senior leveraged finance partners from Linklaters in London

Arrival of Annette Kurdian and Robert Burt helps restock team after raids from US rivals Allen & Overy (A&O) has hired a pair of senior leveraged finance partners from Magic Circle rival Linklaters. The lateral hires – which remain rare between Magic Circle firms – help restock A&O’s market-leading team after raids from US rivals over the past year. Moving across are Annette Kurdian and Robert Burt, who both have 20 years of experience at Linklaters behind them having made partner within a year of each other, in 2006 and 2007 respectively.

Linklaters hires private equity partner from Freshfields to boost Paris M&A team

By mapman; Shutterstock Linklaters has bolstered its corporate and M&A team in Paris with the arrival of Florent Mazeron from Magic Circle rival Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Private equity expert Mazeron joins the firm as a partner, bringing with him a wealth of experience working on major buyout deals and other corporate transactions in both the public and private market. The firm will hope Mazeron’s arrival can help boost its M&A advisory work in France – it was absent from Mergermarket’s top 20 advisors by deal count and deal value in France in the first quarter of the year, though it ranked 12th by deal value and 7th by deal count in the Europe-wide rankings.
