president s action saying he doesn t show empathy enough or should have hugged victims of the storm but it creates a logistical problem when you have someone coming up like a president and shutting down areas where relief is sorely needed. i saw the president tuesday and had a chance to visit with him with our governor and we think he played it pitch perfect. he didn t get in the way of first responders and came into corpus where things settled in a little bit. there s still issues there but he inspired people and said i m leading on the issue. what i like about the president, he s a business guy. he looks at this and says, we have a problem, what do we need to get back in texas and get texas up and running and fix it. he has been all in from the declaration that came so quick as he said 35 seconds before the storm really hit. he and governor abbott worked
storm system may be developing in the gulf. adam klotz is in the storm center with more. the peak of the season isn t until september 12 so there s plenty of activity to track. hurricane harvey is now in the northern portions of louisiana and we ll see nashville and lexington get hit from the low pressure system arriving saturday. as it moves that direction, not the 30, 40 inches but still pretty significant rainfall as you look at places outside of nashville and scattering to the east. you re looking at widespread rain because of what once was hurricane harvey. there s a couple other systems we re paying attention to. real quick, this one only a 10% chance of become storm in the next five days but right there in the gulf of mexico. it s not a place where we want to see a rain maker form.
