the arkansas area is where the heaviest of the rain will be as well as up and across parts of missouri. this is over the next five days. you see this dark red color that are spots that are going to see five, six inches of rain and that drains back into the mississippi. so while we re seeing the river recede a bit in areas like cairo down towards memphis and later on this week receding a little bit by vicksburg all this water will go back into the mississippi river basin and prolong the storm more. the other thing to note, martha, so much of louisiana, you re getting this flood, they are in a drought across this area. they need rain, they are not getting any of that rain which is ultimately good news but the flooding is certainly going to continue to be there. martha: tough all around. rick thank you very much. drastic actions require drastic measures. people living in that flood zone are building home-made levees to try to keep the water out. near vicksburg, mississippi
