its own unique race of black bears that is heavily protected and these animals here are incredibly vulnerable to flood scenarios. but it is also important to remember that these creatures are very adaptive. they live in a flood environment. this is the this is not first time they have experienced this. the truth is is that the human being comes in contact with the bear, they need to take all the precautions that they would in and a nonemergency situation. you don t want to entice the bear. you don t want to put out any food that the bear could take advantage of, and you want to keep at least 300 feet between you and the wild bear. but i believe that in many ways bears are more threatened by human beings than the other way around, especially in the situation like this where they re already vulnerable to the due to habitat loss in a flood scenario. it can make matters even worse. jeff corwin, thanks so much for your expertise on all of these things. senator john kerry returned fr
