MADISON, Wis. Dane County crews removed more sludge and sediment from the Yahara River Chain this year than ever before, county officials said Wednesday.
The Dane Co. Executive’s Office estimated nearly 10,000 dump truck’s worth of sludge and sediment were pulled from the bottom of the Yahara River this year.
On Jan. 19, the Federal Emergency Management Agency finalized its revised flood hazard determination for Grafton, which removed the city from the 100-year floodplain.
