ONE of Bournemouth s most popular destinations appears to be undergoing a revamp. Flirt Cafe Bar, at The Triangle, suddenly closed last week – with the windows being taped up soon afterwards. Building work has been carrying on inside, but no-one has been available to comment on exactly what is going on. A sign posted on the door simply stating: New owners, new look, new menu, same vibe, coming soon. At the start of this year The Echo reported how the company which previously ran Flirt had been officially dissolved after it was liquidated. As also previously reported, there was no money for the vast majority of the business’s creditors, who were owed more than £550,000.

A new and unrelated business, Flirt Catering Limited, bought the cafe’s name and assets in February 2019 after the previous owner went into administration. Flirt Cafe Bar, a popular venue credited with helping to transform Bournemouth’s Triangle, was bought from its founders by Shaan Hussain in 2017.
