Pool company may create new jobs in Burlington

Burlington might be getting a new business in the new future that would bring 80 jobs into the community.
Leisure Pools and Spas, a Tennessee-based company, has expressed interest in a property at 2800 West Ave. to expand its operations into Burlington.
“Eighty jobs, at this time, would be welcome news to our community,” Greater Burlington Partnership Economic Development Director Jeremy Hess told Burlington City Council members Monday during a work session.
The prospect of a new area employer comes soon after ABB announced it intends to close its West Burlington plant by the end of June, leaving about 300 workers without jobs.
