The resident of Saibai Island is seen manoeuvring the scoop of the machine to try and shift the stubborn saltwater crocodile from where it was resting beside a road.
The victim, aged in his forties, was swimming in a gorge at a remote national park in North West Queensland around 2pm on Sunday when a crocodile latched onto his arm.
