Honeywell receives EASA certification for 25-hr cockpit recorder
LONDON, January 19, 2021 Honeywell and Curtiss-Wright Corporation announced that the 25-hour Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) they developed for the air transport market has received European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Technical Standard Order (TSO) certification. The new Honeywell Connected Recorder-25 meets and exceeds the requirements of the upcoming 2021 EASA minimum 25-hour cockpit voice recording mandate for aircraft weighing over 27,000 kilograms. “The importance of reliable cockpit voice and flight data recorders cannot be overstated.
