A new 16,000-square-foot space will up the child care center’s capacity from 138 children to 278, making it among the largest child care centers in Grand Forks.
The program would be available to for-profit, non-profit and non-primary sector businesses providing, “unique venues, facilities and/or experiential attractions that will enhance Grand Forks’ entertainment, arts, recreational, and cultural offerings for area residents and help the community attract and retain workers.” One hope is for businesses benefiting from the program to enhance tourism opportunities, although that is not the only reason for its existence.
