In a bid to entice skilled foreign workers to move to Thailand and stimulate the economy, the state-owned Thailand Privilege Card (TPC) recently introduced new long-term visa perks that include a work permit. The novel programme is called Flexible Plus, which falls under the Elite Card scheme.
BANGKOK: The Cabinet has approved assistance for the property sector through the “Flexible Plus Program” that gives a work permit to any foreigner who invests at least US$1 million in Thailand.
A Cabinet meeting on Tuesday approved the Flexible Plus programme for holders of Thailand Privilege Card, also known as Elite Card, to promote the investment in target industries and real estate business by foreigners with high purchasing power, said deputy government spokeswoman Traisulee Traisoranakul on Tuesday.
