Samsung worked on flexible display technology for many years prior to the release of devices like the Galaxy Fold and the Galaxy Flip. This week, the Samsung Display team teased us with a look at the next generation of flexible displays, which will enable completely new device designs.  As reported by SamMobile, last week, Samsung took part in Display Week 2021, an exhibition for the display industry. Several prototypes were shown, all featuring OLED displays with multiple fold options. As we can see from the images, one of these prototypes is a double-folding OLED panel, which can be used like a smartphone or folded out into a thin, 7.2-inch tablet. Samsung also developed a slidable concept, where the display can be extended horizontally by pulling out the screen.
