Road closures begin Sunday in Fletcher for water system improvement project
The Woodhill Drive connection to U.S. Highway 25 and one southbound lane of Highway 25 will be closed beginning Sunday evening.
The closure is necessary for Hendersonville’s northside water system improvement project, which aims to upgrade water service and increase water pressure in the Fletcher/Northside area. A new pressure zone will be created by installing a new ground storage tank at a higher elevation and a water booster station to feed the tank, according to Hendersonville s Water and Sewer Department.
Woodhill Drive from Hendersonville Road to Thorncrest Drive and Glensprings Drive will be blocked to thru traffic. Motorists will be rerouted to Fanning Bridge Road.
U.S. 25 lanes to close for water project
The Woodhill Drive connection to U.S. 25 as well as one southbound lane of U.S. 25 will be closed during the week of June 6 as part of Hendersonville’s Northside Water System Improvement project in Fletcher. The portion of Woodhill Drive from Hendersonville Road to Thorncrest Drive and Glensprings Drive will be blocked to through traffic. Vehicles will be rerouted to Fanning Bridge Road during the closure.
The work is scheduled to begin in the late evening hours on June 6and the largest portion of the work and lane closure of U.S. 25 is expected to last five days. Work will be completed during daytime and nighttime hours to complete the project as quickly as possible with the shortest duration of road closures possible. Motorists are asked to follow signage and be alert for crews working in the area. Woodhill Drive may experience full closures or lane closures until June 15, 2021.
