KATHMANDU, April 1: Police arrested two individuals 16 years after they fled, having trafficked three young women into flesh trade in India, selling them for Rs 100,000 each. The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police conducted the arrests in Kathmandu.
A film actress and two Uzbek women were rescued from alleged flesh trade in Pune. The actress has done small roles in Rajasthani films and currently stays in Mumbai.
CCB investigators raided a hi-tech spa in Mahadevapura and rescued 44 women, including foreign nationals, who were allegedly part of a prostitution racket. The spa was running under the guise of providing massage services to customers. The spa owner has been detained and the police are investigating further.
