A three storey apartment building - to be operated by North and East Housing Association - is being planned for lands at Flaxmill Lane at Yellowbatter.
A decision is expected by April 21 on the application by BKG Alliance Ltd. for permission for the provision of 17 residential units for residents with general needs,
comprising of a three storey apartment building with one and two bedroom apartments.
The development also includes the provision of a new access road and pedestrian access leading to the public road, carparking spaces, covered bicycle spaces, playground and bin
storage enclosure, site lighting, etc.
The site in question is 0.255ha and it is located on the northern outskirts of Drogheda town, approximately 1.2km north-east of the town centre. Vehicular access to the site will be via an entrance just off Flaxmill Lane. The site is bounded to the east and south by Flaxmill Lane, and to the north and west by separate residential areas of Forest Hill and Flaxmill Court.
