Developer seeks additional density for Broomfield apartment project – BizWest

BROOMFIELD The developer of a planned new apartment community in Broomfield is asking city leaders to approve a measure that would increase the project’s density and allow for more units to be built. Pivot Development Co., an Indiana-based multifamily residential developer, which has proposed to build the The Lock at Flatiron community near the intersection of Flatiron Boulevard and Interlocken Loop, is set to go before the Broomfield Planning and Zoning Commission Monday evening with a request to amend its planned unit development to raise the permitted number of apartments from about 250 units to 270 units and increase the maximum unit density from 50 dwelling units per acre to 85 dwelling units per acre.
