He became the first player in Clemson history since Horace Grant to post at least 30 and 15 in a game. Clemson Prevails Past Penn State in Double OT Thriller 101-94 on Tuesday Night

Final Stats CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson University men’s basketball team rallied past Penn State 101-94 in a double overtime thriller in Littlejohn Coliseum on Tuesday night. The last double-overtime game for Clemson came on March 2, 2014 when the Tigers prevailed over Maryland 77-73 in two extra periods. Clemson found themselves down six after the opening stanza, 35-29, and were helped by a 13-2 run to begin the second half to battle back. After tying regulation 71-71 and getting down as many as two with 20 seconds left, PJ Hall (Spartanburg, S.C./Dorman) came up big with a post-up basket with five seconds on the clock to force double overtime. Clemson emptied the tank in the second overtime stanza and outscored Penn State 18-11 to secure a win in the last ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Tyson Scores 19 as Tigers Blitz Benedict 91-45 on Wednesday

CLEMSON, S.C. Clemson University men’s basketball dominated Benedict College in an exhibition game on Wednesday. The Tigers were led by graduate Hunter Tyson (Monroe, N.C./Piedmont), scoring 19 points on six-of-eight from the floor. Clemson jumped to a 47-23 lead in the first half while shooting 51.7 percent from the field. The Tigers' defense held Benedict to 28 percent shooting and forced 10 turnovers that led to 15 points The Tigers continued to control the contest and opened the second half on a 14-2 run. Clemson shot 52.9 percent from the field in the second half while limiting Benedict to only 26.7 percent. The Tigers’ defense suffocated Benedict by only giving up three field goals in the final 10 minutes. Viry-Châtillon, France Clemson University men’s basketball routed the Paris All-Stars in its first competition in France, 92-50. The Tigers were led by Hunter Tyson (Monroe, N.C./Piedmont) and Alex Hemenway (Newburgh, Ind./Castle). Tyson finished with a double-double of 11 points and 16 rebounds while dishing four assists. Hemenway led the Tigers in scoring with 16 and finished 4-for-8 from three. Tyson’s 16 rebounds would normally be a career-high. He finished with 13 against South Carolina last year (Dec. 18, 2021). It would also be his second career double-double, which came in the same game against the Gamecocks (18 points). Hunter led the Tigers (14-15, 6-12 ACC) and was an efficient 7-of-9 from the field while also tying a career-high with seven rebounds on Saturday afternoon.
