At the 2020 WJC, United States forward Trevor Zegras (Anaheim Ducks) led all players with nine assists and had nine shots on goal but didn t score. The intensity on Day 6 of the 2021 World Junior Hockey Championship was on display with a lot at stake in a couple of high-pressured games.
In arguably the game of the tournament so far, Sweden and Russia needed overtime to crown a winner with top spot in Group B still up for grabs. The stunning win for Russia saw Sweden’s 54-game win streak in the preliminary round come to an end in heartbreaking fashion as they pushed hard to tie the game late but were unable to overcome a late penalty in the extra period.
Panthers at the WJC: Lundell collects three points in Finland’s 6-0 win over Slovakia

Florida Panthers 2020 first round draft pick Anton Lundell scored a goal and added two assists in Finland’s 6-0 victory over Slovakia at the World Junior Championship in Edmonton.
Lundell opened the scoring with his third of the tournament at the 8:57 mark of the first period. The 19-year-old goes to the net to finish off a nice pass from Kasper Simontaival following a turnover.
Lundell would pick up his first assist of the game, playing catch with defenseman Topi Niemela, who blasted the puck home 6:09 into the second period.
