we need help from our allies and they ve offered and been turned down. i want to make it clear i don t have to interrupt this conversation. it s so intense and so passionate, one simple question and they could take it for hours but, of course, we only have three minutes. back to you. and a good three minutes it was and you saw reflected in all their answers, last night the president presented he has a new czar, he s appointed a commission and he s got a dream. and it s all about fixing energy in the future. but he was just you know, that one woman said what did you want to hear the president to say? i think we all wanted to hear specifics. we wanted to hear, well, we re drilling these relief wells and within three days or three months or whenever, we wanted details. just weren t many. it was so pie in the sky. people remember sitting in the oval office, major things happen. bombs are bursting over baghdad. we re going to blockade cuba. this wasn t up to snuff for that. he
have someone who will respond to those accusations that politics were at play. you know who else didn t like the president s speech last night, that was a lot of people on the left surprisingly. on huffington post, their main page right now says junk shot short on details, failed to go big. and what s the point? people want to know. where s the beef? where are the details? we want to know how it s going to happen. meanwhile, governor palin was the lead guest on bill o reilly s show last night immediately with her instant reaction, instant analysis of this speech, a minute after it s complete, bill went to the governor the former governor of alaska. here s what she said. he is wrong not to acknowledge that we still on a three legged stool, the forces of energy to be drilled here. otherwise, we re going to be dropped to our knees and bowing to the saudis and venezuela and places like russia that will keep producing oil and petroleum products and we will have to ask
them to produce for us because we will still be dependent upon these sources of energy in addition, though, to shipping more towards the renewables which, of course, we need and the other leg, president obama, it scares me and saddens me that the c.e.o. of our nation does not understand that inherent leak between the conventional forces of energy that we re dependent upon and our security accident our prosperity, our freedom. there s a story line that follows. number one, stopping the leak. number two, getting all this stuff cleaned up while it s being flowed out, whether it s disbersants, barges or vacuums. what about the 33 platforms all set to drill that have been frozen until they can investigate how safe they are. how do people of louisiana going back to drilling and going back to work. look at these numbers. it s overwhelming. the people of louisiana, 77% support off-shore drilling.
