DUBAI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 14th Apr, 2021) The UAEâs aim to further enhance food security in the country and attain number one ranking in the Global Food Security Index by 2051 were the key focus areas at a webinar titled Agritech - Enhancing Food Security in the UAE , organised by DP World, UAE Region and Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) in collaboration with the middle East Economic Digest (MEED).
The webinar was held virtually in the presence of Mariam bint Mohammed Almheiri, UAE Minister of State for Food and Water Security, who delivered a keynote speech and Mohammed Al Muallem, CEO & Managing Director of DP World, UAE Region and CEO of Jafza, who delivered the opening remarks.

Vietnam gas consumption to double in next 10 years: Fitch Solutions
Gas demand is expected to rise from about 9.7 billion cubic meters (bcm) in 2020 to above 25.3bcm in 2030, while influx of LNG helps to counter the decline in domestic production.
Vietnam’s gas consumption is predicted to accelerate strongly over the coming decade, more than doubling, over the duration of the upcoming Power Development Plan VIII (PDP VIII) [2021-2030].

Though the automobile market has become big enough for manufacturers to step up domestic production, industry policies remain unencouraging.
With 300,000 cars sold in 2020, Vietnam has surpassed the Philippines to become the fourth largest automobile market in the region, according to AAF (ASEAN Automotive Federation).
Thailand led the region with 792,146 cars sold in 2020, while Indonesia was in the second position with 600,000 cars sold. The third position belonged to Malaysia with 550,000 cars. The figures were 296,634 for Vietnam and 223,793 for the Philippines.
