people you trust in your own neighborhood, if you have questions about getting vaccinated, talk to people you know. that s all the president is suggesting. it is this phony outrage machine and its propaganda. it keeps coming. how much is keeping us from fully overcoming the pandemic. the longer this drags out, the longer the variant mutate and pop up. the more people remain unvaccinated it goes on and on. right. we have about 30% of the population that s not vaccinated yet. i think about a third or about 10% are people that are have real considerations. they have real concerns. they want to see more information. they are nervous about it. they are taking it seriously. they are subject to misinformation and disinformation. another 20% are solidly in the, i will not consider it camp. that latter 20% is very decidedly white rural republican

achievable, and i wonder, randi, how you help people make up who didn t have the wi-fi, who didn t have the technical expertise, who didn t have a parent making them do all the assignments. what is the plan for the fall for making sure that the people that have fallen behind, that didn t have sort of the resources to keep up remotely, how do we catch them up? how do we catch them academically and socially and mentally? well, there s two plans, nicole. one is for the summer, and one is for the fall. and in the summer, you have a lot of districts, and i spent a lot of time last week talking about this. you have a lot of districts who have used the federal money in a way to do academics in the morning and enrichment in the afternoon. but really inject a lot of joy and fun in their summer programs. you know, make it camp-like. have dance. have sports. have arts. so that kids feel a joy, not just a sense of, oh my god, look

Marlborough College has been running its acclaimed Summer School for nearly half a century, and this year is back with a huge range of flexible courses to suit all ages and interests.
Last year won’t be remembered as the best, what with the covid pandemic disrupting all our lives, yet we were all reminded of some important lessons that we can take with us into 2021, and even look forward to developing further at Marlborough College Summer School.
Here we reflect on some of what 2020 taught us and the courses set to be popular at this year’s school, which runs from 11 July-7 August.
