I woke up today to snow on the ground and ice forming on the Fishhook River here in beautiful Park Rapids, Minn. I look forward to connecting with family, community and friends during this holiday season!

Firecracker Foot Race
Pre-registration is open for the 42nd annual Firecracker Footrace, which will be held on Sunday, July 4. This 5K race which starts and finishes at Park Rapids’ Heartland Park, is a certified USATF fast course with chip timing provided by Pickle Events.
The pre-registration fee is $30 and participants can pre-register online at www.pickleevents.com under “Race Schedule” until July 3. Register by June 29 to guarantee your T-shirt. The cap for the race is 850 runners and walkers.
