A male grizzly bear chased from a popular public trail in Cody city limits by Wyoming Game and Fish officials Sunday is a reminder for locals who share habitat with the apex predators to be careful. That includes carrying bear spray and staying in groups in the town’s wilder areas.
A 3-year-old male grizzly bear near Cody featured Monday as Cowboy State Daily’s “Wyoming Sunrise” was captured and killed by Game and Fish agents because it had become too comfortable with people.
Even though Cowboy State Daily's Mark Heinz and Bill Sniffin were mercilessly mocked for their videos where they shot fake bear spray at a plastic bear on a glorified Roomba, hunters say there is real value to "robo-bear."
