There are a few community events on the calendar for today to benefit area service clubs. The Wayne County 4-H Foundation will hold a drive-thru Fish Dinner from 10:30 until noon and will be a drive-thru on Main Street at the Courthouse. The Cost of the meal will be $12. The menu includes 2 fried fish fillets, hush puppies, fried potatoes, & a cookie. Cars may drive in front of the Courthouse to get their food. The Cowling Community Center will be holding a Brupper or breakfast for supper fundraiser starting at 4 PM this afternoon. The center is located on Illinois Route 1, 7 miles north of I-64 or 12 miles south of Mount Carmel. The cost is by donation. A fish fry will be held at the Bluford Ruritan Building. Serving will be from 5 -7. The menu will be a choice of fish or BBQ, french fries, slaw, baked beans, dessert, and drink. All proceeds go to the Union Grove Camp building fund. Finally, there is a fundraiser being held at the Geff Ruritan Building that benefits the Compassion
