GRAND FORKS, ND – One night after being no-hit by the Pierre Trappers’ Fischer Rausch, the Wheat City Whiskey Jacks piled up 14 hits Friday in a 12-2 rout of the Trappers at Kraft Field.
Jaxon Sorenson and Houston Fogelstrom drove in two runs each for Wheat City.
For Pierre (13-31), starter Jakob Newman (0-2) allowed six runs and five hits in three innings. Jacob Griffin drove in the Trappers’ only two runs with a sixth-inning single.

MINOT, ND – An early lead for the Pierre Trappers was erased by 11 runs in a four-inning stretch Tuesday as the Souris Valley Sabre Dogs ran past Pierre 11-6 at Corbett Park.
Justin Cooper hit a three-run home run and Beau Brewer had a two-run single for the Sabre Dogs, who tallied three runs in the fourth, two in the fifth, two in the sixth, and four in the seventh.
Collin Adams hit a three-run homer, his third in the last five games for the Trappers (9-19), but Pierre lost for the 14th time in their last 17 games. Starter and loser Fischer Rausch gave up five runs in four and two-thirds innings.
