Renowned economist and Chairman of the fifteenth finance commission, NK Singh, emphasized the need for India to reassess its fiscal policies, particularly regarding debt management, in light of the persistent post-pandemic challenges. Speaking at the Kautilya Global Award 2023 ceremony, Singh highlighted the global trend of increasing debt levels, underscoring the importance of proactive fiscal strategies.
