Interest rate at 5. 5 . Of course, dave, it is widely expected all 20 economists we surveyed expected as much. But the question is really whether or not governor adrian orr will sound hawkish, given that inflation is still far from where he wants it to be, which is one, two, 3 right now. We had headline inflation in the Second Quarter at about 6 . So rbnz staying pat for a second time in a row at 5. 5 . Remember, this is the central bank that has done 525 basis point hike. It has been pretty aggressive ahead of the curve, way ahead of the fed. And now it is keeping its rate standing pat at 5. 5 for a second time in a row. Dave. Yep. Yeah. So were looking at, to your point there where there is some commentary on inflation and how restrictive rates are and theyre saying already restrictive and that should be enough to return inflation to target. We will get started here momentarily and ill ask them to come onto the stage, yes, as we how are you . As we get ready to start our next panel in the afternoon stretch here. Our 3 20 p. M. Panel, principled economics, a formula for growth this, obviously, is an important conversation because, you know, theres not a lot of leadership right now on on principles or economics, i would say, and so, its important, i think, to have this discussion about the facts and i dont know that we could have a more esteemed or Accomplished Panel here to discuss it with us. I will introduce our moderator here, who will then introduce the rest of our panelists. But its my privilege to introduce our moderator, mr. Bob b

And the projections we released today the deficit grows from 1. 6 trillion in 2024 to 2. 6 trillion in 2034. Measured in relation to the economic output, deficits are about 50 larger than their historical average over the past 50 years. Net interest costs are a major contributor to the deficit. Their growth is equal to about three orders of the increase in the deficit from 2024 to 2034. Initially, net interest costs are similar to the amount of Discretionary Spending both for defense and for nondefense activities. By the end of the time at 1. 6 trillion interest outlays are roughly 1 1 2 times larger than either defense or nondefense spending. Also boosting deficits are two underlying trends. The aging of the population and growth of federal Health Spending per beneficiary. Those trends pu
