An explosive device suspected to be a bomb exploded in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital on Sunday, causing tension and apprehension. Taraba is in Northeast Nigeria which is considered the epicentre of terrorism in the country but the state has been relatively peaceful compared with Borno, Adamawa and Yobe in the zone. The incident reportedly occurred at about 9:35 pm close to First Roundabout leading to the Taraba State University.
