Like pretty much everything in 2020, sports in 2021 will be subject to change at any time.
Professional sports were able to finagle some semblance of a season during the pandemic, though with mostly empty stadiums and creative scheduling. Some of that is likely to continue, particularly with fall and winter sports, until vaccination takes hold.
The Tennessee Titans are all but certain to make the playoffs, particularly with the NFL going to an expanded 14-team field, and as of this writing they’re the leaders in the AFC South meaning Nissan Stadium would host at least one playoff game for the first time since Jan. 10, 2009. Last season’s surprise run to the AFC Championship Game proved the Two-Toners’ Derrick Henry-heavy offense is a winner in the postseason, and if anything, the Titans offense is improved over last year’s 9-7 team. Photo: Matt Bacon When the Harlow Town Ladies step onto the field tomorrow, they will be able to match their best result in the FA Women’s Cup. After five games, they have progressed to the First Round Proper of the competition welcoming Ipswich Town Women of the National League to the Harlow Arena. The team is the lowest-ranked side in the South of England as well as Essex and go up against Ipswich Town who are one of the highest ranked.
