Some cottagers on leased land in the Sauble Beach area await a second vote by Saugeen First Nation members after a “failed” earlier vote left the cottagers in doubt about their continued use of their cottages.
Something went wrong with a March 5 vote concerning whether to approve a new five-year lease for 87 cottage lots, said Saugeen Cottagers’ Association Incorporated president David Shearman, in an interview Sunday.
