Kate Forbes, runner-up in the contest to succeed Nicola Sturgeon as first minister of Scotland, was said to be non-committal when asked if she wanted a job in Humza Yousaf’s latest cabinet reshuffle.
Humza Yousaf probably doesn’t have many “good” days as First Minister of Scotland. Leading a circus school disguised as a political party, the ever unfolding legacy of corruption from his predecessor and, the underlying and unfortunate fact that he isn’t very good at his job. Still, in the midst of all this today must rank as one of the worst he’s had in a while. After a drubbing at First Minister’s Questions, Humza’s Covid nightmares returned to haunt him.
The stench is becoming unbearable and what’s worse is that the suspicions that many of us have had about the rottenness of this SNP Government are being borne out with almost every day that passes. No, not just about its perpetual and damaging obsession with breaking up Britain but about the arrogance that stems from the untrammelled power of 16 years in office.
