JOHNSTOWN The Fulton County Board of Supervisors recently approved a contract with a Minnesota firm for a data collection software program that will promote Occupancy Tax compliance in the county Treasurer’s Office.
The board authorized a $14,700 contract with Granicus which runs through Feb. 28, 2022. The board in 2017 adopted a local law establishing an Occupancy Tax in Fulton County. The Treasurer’s Office is tasked with collecting tax payments, which include small establishments and/or individual owners that use an online reservation system.
Treasurer Terry Blodgett was notified by Granicus that its software collects short-term rental information.
In other business, the board voted to approve a $34,490 contract amendment with Tyler Technologies of Troy, Mich. for site licensing as a component of the county Sheriff’s Department’s CAD/RMS System.
