Distinguished Belarusians honored with state awards
MINSK, 26 February (BelTA) – State awards have been conferred on 58 representatives of various professions. A corresponding Decree has been signed by Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
They received orders, medals and honorary titles in recognition of the many-year productive work, professional excellence, exemplary fulfillment of service duties, courage displayed in water rescue, attainment of high production results, a big personal contribution to the development of machine building, construction industry, agriculture, transport, education, personnel training, healthcare, science, art and sport.

Ukrainians can once again decide on matters of national importance through the holding of national referendums thanks to a new legal framework that better aligns with international standards and good practice. The recent adoption of a new National Referendum Law fills a two-year legislative vacuum created in April 2018 when the previous, highly criticized referendum law from the time of ex-president Victor Yanukovych was wisely recalled as unconstitutional.
2021 Minsk International Book Fair fields 281 exhibitors from 20 countries

MINSK, 16 February (BelTA) – The 28th edition of the Minsk International Book Fair will take place on 18-21 February and will feature 281 exhibitors from 20 countries, сhairman of the council of the organizers of book fairs in the CIS, Director General of the Makbel book selling company Dmitry Makarov told reporters on 16 February, BelTA has learned.
“The exhibition will be held under the motto ‘Books unite people and countries . This year the forum will bring together 281 exhibitors from 20 countries, including Russia, Kazakhstan, Iran, Venezuela, Palestine, Austria, Pakistan, Turkey, Germany. At the request of visitors, this year the fair will work one hour longer each day: from 10.00 to 20.00, and from 10.00 to 18.00 on the last day. Visitors will be asked to wear masks and use antiseptics and their temperature will be measured at the entrance,” Dmitry Makarov said.

A delegation from Qatar, one of Russia’s major investors among Arab countries, paid a visit to Moscow.
