Government taskforce ends mission in Batken
AKIPRESS.COM - The mission of the government taskforce to resolve and study the current situation on Kyrgyz-Tajik border in Batken region has completed, First Deputy Cabinet Chief Artem Novikov said.
The situation in Batken region is stable, he said. Our mission here is complete, the state commission for the restoration and development of border villages of Batken region and the intergovernmental commission on the delimitation and demarcation of borders will work next, he said.
36 Kyrgyz citizens were killed in the armed clashes. Our soldiers and officers managed to protect the country and defend the territorial integrity of the country. They deserve the highest awards, he added.
