Sue Connally, 83, passed away on Monday, March 29, 2021, in Collegedale, Tennessee.
Sue was born on April 11, 1937, in Chattanooga, to the late Luke and Lillie Bell Connally. Sue’s siblings, Lucy Mae Spivey, Louise Brewer, Luke Connally, Jr. Betty Usher, and Elizabeth Ammons preceded her in death. We truly miss all of them. Sue was born prematurely and was the youngest of her siblings.
She attended school in Chattanooga and played basketball at Orchard Knob. She was the matriarch of our family. She had no children but was cherished by all of her nieces and nephews.
Sharp Street in Churchville was her home for many years. She received a community award for the oldest home. She was a faithful Sunday School teacher at First Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church, where Rev. J.W. Strickland is the pastor.
