A Christmas tradition to hand out gifts to senior citizens in the Round Rock area is continuing this year despite the coronavirus pandemic.
Tyson Murphy, owner of the Home Instead office in Round Rock, said Be a Santa to Senior will bring the holidays to elderly residents who might feel alone due to financial challenges and COVID-19.
The company provides home health care services for seniors in several cities in Williamson and Travis counties. Our program brings so much joy to our seniors in our community, Murphy said. Seniors are especially at risk for feelings of isolation that we ve all felt at some point during the pandemic, and a simple gift can show them that they have been thought of, which is more important this year than ever.
