WESTFORD He is known for his haunting tales, such as The Cask of Amontillado, and his eerie poetry, perhaps most famously,  The Raven.   But Edgar Allan Poe, the master of horror literature, also has ties to the town, where he visited not long before his death in 1849.  The Westford Historical Society and Museum is hosting Recitations from Edgar Allan Poe and the Fireside Poets, a virtual event set for Jan. 19 Poe s birth date.  Poe was born in Boston Jan. 19, 1809   first of many ties to the local area.
